All basic ideas are right in this bag. If you are looking for a cheap but decent solution, this is a very good solution. Just note that this is not a great holdall, just a basic one that unfortunately can be a lot better for the same price. It's as good as most (with one major exception) and will work. Pros: Lightweight, slim design with soft materials that won't chafe or scratch your skin. It has an ID window (it's a bit deeper than other leading pockets - I'm looking at you Lewis and Clark - so it looks like the card won't fall out any less) and multiple pockets for storing your passport documents, emergency cash, etc. Not very much Good: The pockets were very poorly thought out. The lower front is too small to fit a passport, DL, credit card or any other regular sized card you'd ever want to slip in - totally useless for anything other than paperclips. It has two vertical side pockets that are perfect for your passport, but certainly not for a passport - basically useless (I use them to keep multiple currencies separate). Also, there are two of these where there should only be one as it just adds too much volume (if you count you'll find 6(!) stacked pockets (7 total) where most people need a skinny pocket, not a " Passport". Backpack'!"). There is a large internal pocket with a mesh divider into two parts. This is where your passport will be placed and it will float as the pocket is much larger. This is where most people will want to keep their paper tickets, but like most holdalls, it falls short when unfolded.The back features a soft mesh-covered welt pocket for skin-friendly comfort.Some may want to slip their passport in here, and unlike some competing models, the pocket of this bag is deep enough that the passport is reasonably secure not to pop out when you're actively moving around, I usually use it for those pesky paper tickets (I don't like folding them), w because it's the easiest way to access them without having to open the flaps. And finally, an exception and pet nuisance: the strap is sewn with a single stitch. This is either a big problem or, if you have access to a sewing machine, not a problem at all. The strap is not to be trusted as it pulls out easily, especially after some wear and loosening. The simple solution is another row of heavy stitches and you're done. That doesn't invalidate the bag for me, but definitely something to be aware of. FWIW: Most annoying is the missing pen holder. Anyone who travels finds that they need a pen on a regular basis (filling out forms etc) and I always keep a small pen in my passport folder. You can of course add a handle to the edge of the main compartment, but that's less practical than having a slot that actually holds it securely. Short Version: This is a decent bag with lots of pockets. If you are a well-organized person, this bag can hold many things for you and you might like it a lot. Note, however, that none of these are fit for normal/expected use, leaving you pretty free in the end to cram essentials into oversized slots. I recommend buying a simpler case (with 3-4 pockets) that really suits your purpose. Example: I have an old Eagle Creek bag very similar to this one but only has 3 pockets - simplicity works best. Lewis and Clark make almost the same bag but lose a few pockets and only add (MORE) enough space to put a pass in the side pockets - some think it works better but I'd say is a small improvement not worth twice. Price.
