This is my last favorite kitchen tool! With a hard hit on the plunger, the core pops straight into the bin/compost bin. I wouldn't recommend this product to seniors or those with arthritis, but the average middle-aged woman should have no problem using this handy device (trust me, I'm one of them). Tips: If the core of a particular apple is larger than usual, just move the core and continue to the second round. Slightly twist the core while pressing on the apple to remove it easily. Good punch, don't try to push it out. Express it! The core tool also does a great job removing the center of the cake, just fill the new core with frosting!
