I opened the box and applied power to the display which lit up. I put new batteries in the remote control and nothing happened. I replaced the batteries and checked that the installation was correct. Nothing. I did the troubleshooting in the book. Nothing. I have returned the item. Our horse organization cannot have a countdown timer that is not working. Very disappointed but honestly not surprised. Our organization decided to spend significantly more money on a timer designed for competition horses.
