My daughter and I set up the tent in the back yard this weekend to test it out. It does not come with a footprint so we bought one. The bottom of the tent seems to be very durable, though. the rain fly does have sealed seams to keep the rain out. It did not rain over the weekend so, I can not attest for the rain proof ability. the rainfly did not sweat on the inside, which I was very please about. The rainfly can also be removed on those hot summer nights leaving a great view of the stars. Over all the materials used were very well made. I LOVE the double vestibules. It was so much easier getting in and out without having to crawl over each other. We both have the Trekology sleeping pad that is 22.4x 75.2 and 4 inches thick. it fit great side by side it gave about 6 or 8 inches above our head to put our stuff that we "needed". While backpacking I thought that our packs could fit in that area or at the feet, or even in the vestibules. The night we tested it out the temperature got down to lower 50's. We stayed very warm. I am going to have to replace the stakes that came with it. They are very flimsy and heavy, but I am ok with replacing them. I got an amazing deal on this tent and thought it would be a great starter backpacking tent because of the weight and the versatility of it. So far am very happy with it!
