This works so well for coring and spiral cutting a large number of apples that I have had to dry this year and I am so glad I decided to purchase this machine! I didn't use a vegetable peeler as I wanted my dried apples to be skin on. I have a very lightly textured countertop in my kitchen and I didn't think a suction cup would work very well so I purposely bought a clip model. the opportunity when I needed it. To my surprise the suction unit sat like a rock on my counter and never moved, what a great feature. Apple season is over and I won't be able to use the machine again until next fall, unless I decide to dry some onions or make potatoes with scallops, which I might just try!
