just received the belt last week, it looks like a genuine McCoy (100% cowhide) from an Italian cow. Nice belt and definitely durable. Let's not worry too much about where it was made, 80% of everything we buy now is made in China. It is what it is . Keep up to date on how the belt is holding up.
