The device is advertised as supporting USB 3.0 with a read speed of 80 MB/s and a write speed of 40 MB/s. These numbers are completely wrong, and tests have shown them to differ by more than 5 and 3 times, respectively. The best measured read speed was 14 MB / s, and the write speed did not exceed 13 MB / s. In comparison, the same test using a 15-month-old 256GB Sandisk Cruzer 3.0 USB flash drive showed write speeds of 33MB/s to 36MB/s and read speeds of 125MB/s to 128MB/s. Approximately 450 GB from files 1 GB to 8 GB in size, intermittent copy operations fail when the device is powered off. Gave up after about 20 hours when only 200GB was copied.
