This is actually a dual monitor stand with an adapter that allows you to use either of the laptop arms. The adapter works great and can be installed on either the right or left side. Although the specs say the maximum size of the laptop is 15.6 inches, I've used it with a 17.3 inch laptop with no issues. However, any size larger than 17.3 will not work with the brackets used to hold the laptop in place. I use a 24 inch monitor that fits in without any problems. Installation is easy as both the laptop and monitor have quick release plates. I've been using it for several months and it's quite durable.
