Electronic devices are expensive! With new advances in battery technology, charging your stuff is faster than ever, but there's a HUGE quality difference between cables and chargers. Some chargers and cables are so poorly made that they can damage the device they're plugged into, and cheap cables make a HUGE difference in how quickly devices charge. This little digital power meter is a great device. This enabled me to determine that my stock Samsung "Fast Adaptive" charger was no longer providing the rated voltage and replaced it with a better quality aftermarket charger. It is also great for testing cables. Connect the power meter to the USB charger, then connect the charger to the cable you want to test and then to the power meter. I was amazed at the difference between the cables! Up to 1.5 volt difference! You will also get other useful information such as time to fully charge the device, performance and more. The only complaint I have on this point is the lack of a manual, but luckily an Opiedog reviewer here came to the rescue in another post titled "Missing Manual - J7-t (abbreviated)" which answers many questions . It's worth keeping in your tool box or desk drawer to answer questions about cables, chargers and batteries. It might just save your phone!
