I had the smaller one and liked it so much I switched to this size (3.6) because it's more family friendly in terms of capacity. I think the smaller one will be ok for 1-2 people. Before the first use, it is recommended to boil water in it and pour it out. You cannot submerge the pot in water as it is one unit. You can dip the steamer and the lid. So be prepared to easily wipe away residue etc, but with the non-stick base and auto shut-off you won't have to do much cleaning. You have chopsticks, a small bowl, cleaning sponges and a ladle. It's absolutely amazing. I chose not to be "Karen" as the base had small imperfections (small scratches), however I have to take into account that this can all be part of its processing, production. The product is not broken and does not work. It's cute and I love going to the kitchen to see that cute face.
