First of all I love how pretty it is (I chose the maze pattern). I'm working from home on a laptop work joke and 60% of my work is paperwork which causes my laptop to go to sleep when I'm ready to update the database and the other 40% is used to Updates to e-mail customers or key staff in the office, or to look for information I can get from our public website. I spend an insane amount of time logging back into my laptop with my password of at least 14 characters to come back. Because of this, and because of my 10 inch screen with tiny writing, I spent as much as I could on a laptop and only used MS 365 to access my email. My office manager asked me why I'm usually online less than 2 hours a day. Que is trying to move the mouse. I actually plugged it into my desktop, placed my work mouse on it, and watched my cursor on my laptop move randomly across my screen every 15 seconds. is it quiet No, and I'm not a techie, but I think it's because it has moving parts. It buzzes/vibrates when it moves the mouse and when not makes no other noises that I hear. Is the sound deafening or otherwise annoying? No, no more deafening or distracting than Alexa playing my music. When Alexa is on volume 1, I hear both a buzzing and a vibrating sound. When Alexa is on the second volume, all I hear is a buzz. I guess over time it will be a noise my subconscious barely registers no matter what volume Alexa is at. But until then, it reminds me that my mouse is moving and I don't have to type my ridiculous password 800 times a day. My work mouse is the best part of my laptop and I was afraid that moving the mouse would become inefficient due to its large area. My Logitech MX Vertical mouse moves back and forth, up and down, like a bumper car in a crowded ring. I think as long as you "keep an eye" on your mouse for a nice design, it's fine. I kept the mouse on it for almost 15 minutes, and every time I looked at it, the cursor was in a different part of the laptop screen. Just for comparison, I put my desktop mouse on my new favorite thing and it also moves the cursor all over the work monitor. I don't know if the difference in the size of my two screens will affect the motion models. On my desktop, most of the time the cursor moves to the right of my screen here and there. On my laptop, the cursor moves from edge to edge, spending a lot of time at the top of the screen before moving to the bottom of the screen. On each computer I have the feeling that the movements look like they are being moved by a person. In my opinion. Setup was so easy. end in the power supply. A USB hub, desktop tower, or wall adapter will do. Nothing to install. Press the power button on the USB cable and it starts working immediately. I ordered it after 11pm on the 18th and it was delivered on the 21st at noon. I became concerned when I saw the contents of the plastic wrap bag as it was not bubble wrapped or otherwise padded. The box it came in was corrugated and there was a sponge sheet in the box which fully protected the motor during transit. The price, the aesthetics and the speed with which it arrived definitely deserved this 5-star rating. (I was not asked, offered a discount, or received any other reward for this review.)
