Read reviews about the clock not showing the correct time on this coffee maker. They were a year old so I thought the problem was already solved. I felt like an idiot when the time was wrong an hour after turning it on. This company knowingly supplies a defective product. I had an old version of this coffee maker when it was called the Melitta. It was a great coffee maker. I would like to try to fix the clock issue, but there is a bigger problem with this product. When I first opened the lid to pour water, there was a strong chemical smell. I ran 6 cycles of hot water and once vinegar through the unit. After the last one, when I opened the lid of the coffee pot, the hot water still smelled of industrial chemicals. So not only are they using a bad watch supplier, but it is also clear that this coffee maker is out of order. from food materials.
