later so I should have read the review that says how wide the brackets are. You will need 4 screws but as you can see if you zoom in on the images these brackets are wider than the studs in your wall so you really only use 2 screws. Another issue is that the brackets are spaced every 24 inches while the studs in my house are 16 inches. So the solution was to get a 1 x 6 piece of wood, attach it to the studs and then attach this tool holder to the wood. The hooks stick out quite a bit as they are quite long so keep that in mind if you walk past them when entering the garage. Materials are otherwise solid, it just required extra expense and travel. to buy wood, screws and paint to match my wall (which added another $15 for gas, wood, screws and time). Customer service was good as they responded when I sent them a question. It's good.
