So far, so good. Preview.

Changes to the original review: Sorry, my preview was wrong about these separators. However, it was true and it wasn't until I installed #3 and 4 that I realized my mistake. I reported my experiences; The moving parts moved in and out with a ratcheting sound and were not spring loaded. TRUE. Call me crazy and I won't deny it, but even I haven't gone far enough to imagine the whistling sound and ease of movement. So I have to assume that at least 2 of my 8 spacers arrived loose and that my sliding the ends in and out must have tensioned the mechanism inside like clockwork (repeating back and forth to tighten and loosen). , or the voltage activator clicked. I could tell the second pair was tight when I tried to squeeze them. I returned to the first pair and found that they were now stretched as well as the remaining four. I apologize if my report caused any inconvenience. Stretch is better for this purpose. Here is my original review. ignore tension. After a bit of pricing research I decided that one set was as good as any other and bought two of the 4 sets for a good price. So far I've only installed 2 dividers and it's been easy. I was expecting them to be spring loaded (like a shower curtain pull rod) but it actually sounds and feels like a ratchet with no tension. Pull/push with little effort. Each end has a rubbery coating that seems to set the adjustment. Here is how I installed them. I patterned it down to the approximate length I needed, then angle it into the drawer, close to where I wanted it, with one end touching the front and the other end touching the back of the drawer. Then I carefully slid the end of the divider along the back of the drawer vertically. That's all I have for now, but I'll try to update after some use and add pictures if I can. Although so far so good. Another useful gadget I should have bought a few years ago. It's too early to say for sure, but I suspect they'll do the job for a long time and I recommend them for shallow boxes.
