I'm part of Gonzo production. I use this on one of the products we make. It took me years to find a punch of this caliber. I can confirm that you can easily drill over 500,000 holes in thick, strong material with one of these parts before the spring mechanism fails. However, if you're punching a lot of holes in one sitting, you'll need to grind down the valve that collects the holes so you don't have to stop and empty it. No matter how many times I use it, it has never bothered my hand. It takes a little time to see exactly where the hole will be punched from top to bottom. First I used masking tape to make a small mark on the top of the punch so I could know where the hole would be. Just want to say that if this thing can be a factory tool and stand up to heavy use, you can probably rely on it for most tasks, no problem. Aside from its specific use, my co-workers have used it to puncture cardboard, leather, tons of paper, and who knows what else.
