I'm not sure I'll be able to pursue my new passion for pottery for long, I needed a simple, inexpensive wireless microphone that I could use while taking pictures. There are few technical details (frequency range, noise level, etc.), but it isolates my voice much better and cancels noise in the room than the camera's built-in microphone. I ended up trying both the Lava mic and the head mic, opting for the latter as it sounded noticeably cleaner. Pairing the transmitter and receiver was automatic and painless. I have the WM-721 version which uses AAA batteries instead of the built in rechargeable batteries. It's definitely battery powered, so I could get a set of rechargeable AAA batteries to swap out as needed while streaming. Overall I'm happy with it. I would consider this a good starter kit if you don't want to spend a lot of money setting up a branded wireless microphone, but want something that gives you a noticeable improvement in sound quality over using the built-in microphone in your camera. .
