Review on Vionic Womens Spark Robyn Ballet Women's Shoes for Athletic by Jonah Riggle

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good support for plantar fasciitis, more stylish and a good replacement for Surin's old style!

Edit: A year later I don't like these shoes at all. They have hardly been worn and don't stay put! My heels are falling out of my shoes and the smaller size is too small. I want Vionic to change that style to have the back that Surins had. I bought these to replace my old worn out tin Vionic Surin Flats. I'm on my feet a lot because I'm a teacher and I have legs that need a lot of support. I often have flare-ups of painful plantar fasciitis if I'm not careful, and about two years ago I only wore Danskos to give my feet proper support. I've had plantar fasciitis since I was 18-19, so by 39 I'm used to being picky about shoes to keep my feet happy. I was initially skeptical about the support system of ballet flats, but I've been wearing Suryns for two school years. They feel the same as my Surins (I have three pairs of these) but are more stylish. The Surins have a temple that I wanted to cut down but ended up leaving for fear of ruining the shoe. They are very similar to surins, except they can be slightly larger. I'm currently considering getting a pair a half size smaller than any other Vionics I've bought to see if the 7s fit better than the 7 1/2s I bought. (Edit: The 7th was the one I skipped. The 7 1/2 flopped while walking.) What I like best about the Vionic Flats is that I can remove the insoles and machine wash cold dry them on air. update them if needed. I also add Gekks to them for concealed carry. The color of the pewter on this shoe is a darker metallic gray than the I'm the Surins pewter, but I really like that color. (I've included a picture of Tin Surins and Pewter Robins for comparison.) I'm glad it's a good substitute. I wear my old Vionic Flats with almost everything.
