Instructions may be a little confusing for children. It came with extra hats and adhesive strips. We have extra pipe cleaners and beads at home. You can make more than 4 elves if you have extra materials. My children are 7 years old and 2.5 years old. They're too resourceful, so they didn't follow the directions that well. I've made one and shown it to them, but they always want to bother making something else. very fun for kids and good coordination for hands and fingers. We didn't cut off the pipe cleaner until we were done with the part, for example when the arms are done we cut off the excess. My kids had problems because they broke off too early and couldn't put enough beads on the pipe cleaner. All in all this is a great product. The kids had fun. and the elves go to decorate the Christmas tree. I would recommend this product to my friend
