I've used this a few times and love that it records both food temperature and ambient oven temperature. There are four temperature settings: high and low for food and high and low for ambient temperature. Exceeding or falling below these temperatures leads to an alarm. The temperature setting takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. I usually just set one temperature (the temperature I want the food to reach) and leave the other three blank.
