Dear Beach Ball Manufacturer Marketing Department, The math will help you. You cannot measure an uninflated ball lying horizontally and get an accurate diameter. At best, you're getting closer to half the circumference. One of these balls is NOT 24 inches in diameter. I stupidly bought these spheres for a specific project and needed a sphere that was about 24" in diameter. Unfortunately, the diameter is a little less than 16 inches. After inflating, I immediately realized that I was deceived by false advertising. I didn't even have to measure, but did anyway. The circumference of a fully inflated ball is 50 inches, divide that by 3.14 and you get 15.9. Ball against the wall and marks the width (diameter) and confirms just under 16 inches. Use math. Math is your friend.
