I didn't expect this charger to suit me but I was pleasantly surprised! I have a Samsung S9 and am having trouble finding a home wireless charger that will charge it through my Otterbox. If you have to take your phone out of the case to charge it, then what's the point of wireless? This charger worked from the first try and isn't picky about how the phone sits in the holder! Pros - High quality standard mount for mounting on a window or dashboard. It rotates and adjusts accordingly to keep your phone where you want it and out of the way of dashboard control. Also included is a bleed mount, a standard ball mount. The balls on the temples of all three phone holders I've had are the same size, so the heads are interchangeable. I didn't have to damage the dash by removing the old lever. I just installed a new phone mount on the arm I already had! The new mount quickly charges my Samsung S9 through the Otterbox case. The charger has connections for microUSB and USB-C. You can use any type of cable. Adjustable plate on the bottom to align the phone with the charging coil in the holder. The holder is light. Due to its weight, the phone does not fall on the ball joint. The phone holders are deep enough to hold large phones in the pocket. Cons: I know this is a feature, but I see it as a downside. The arms open and close with an electric motor. This adds several sources of error that mechanical arms (electronics, motor, gears, etc.) don't have. When you hold your phone next to the mount, an infrared sensor opens and closes the arms and locks them in place. You press the button on top of the holder to release the phone. If you turn off the ignition before removing the phone, the arms will not open and you only have to remove the phone. I would prefer a mechanical attachment system. - a nasty teal power/charge indicator on the top rear. At night, it shines on the windshield and illuminates the entire dashboard. I wrapped it with black tape. So I'm not a fan of indicator lights or electric locking levers, but the mount works as advertised and the charger works well. The disadvantages for me can be the advantages for others. It is well made and looks beautiful.
