I received this to replace the key fob housing for my 2007 Honda Civic. My original shell had a broken key ring and was no longer holding together. The installation process was very easy. Apparently some dongles have the transceiver chip in a separate block glued into the case, while others have the transceiver in the same block as the remote gear. I was lucky enough to have the latter, so it was as simple as moving the blade and the hardware removed. The construction feels solid and the fit is nice and snug. The local Batteries Plus not only sold me a new case, they wanted to insist on making a new keychain for 10x what I paid for it. Worth it!
