Is almost perfect for charging, with one small issue

I have owned two of the Mustart Travelmasters, starting from Summer of 2021. I have used it to charge a Bolt EV from both a 240V 14-50 plug, and from standard 120V outlets. I have also used it to charge my Volt Plug-in hybrid. It has worked very well. I have it set up in my garage as the main full-time charger, and when I need it for on-the-go charging, I can easily disconnect it to take it on the go. I have had zero problems with one exception. At one point the charger died, perhaps due to a voltage surge, random gamma rays, or someone connecting the connector wrong. The design doesn’t prevent connecting it the wrong way, which is a design flaw. This can be avoided with proper caution though.Fortunately, customer service backed up the 2 year warranty, and replaced the dead charger. The new one has been working great. After replacing it, they were a bit naggy about me posting a review right away, in return for them just doing what was right. I finally told them to stop bugging me, and they respected it. I am writing this review after several months of using the replacement one, with no problems. In the past there were a few people who had problems with melted plugs on the Mustart 32A charger. I think that was a design flaw of a different charger they made, that they have since corrected. This one doesn’t get more than slightly warm while charging even at 32A.So for the money, this is a versatile charger, backed up by a solid warranty.

Pros
  • Saves money on costly fuel expenses and vehicle maintenance costs
Cons
  • The charger may not be ideal for users who need to charge their vehicle overnight
