They are NOT bright red as shown, more on the tan side. Apart from the colour, they are well made. I have a set of Smith Reds and they are noticeably brown in color. If you look closely at the product image at the top of this page, you will see that the color of the pin is different from the color of the ring. The set I received had all the colors of the needle. The bottom three product photos show a darker color.
