Review on BWSK Smart WiFi Thermometer System – Indoor and Outdoor Temperature Monitoring with Probe and App for Industrial Quality Control, Ceramics, Home, and Commercial Kitchens by Bindelo by Michael Radhakrishnan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Difficult to set up, a little unreliable, but worth the price for home projects!

I can almost repeat what the first reviewer said. Cons: Setting up this device online is terrible. Network. I had to use my wife's iPhone 6. It's the opposite of the first reviewer, so it means you'll hit or miss if you can even set it up. In addition, the setup instructions are terrible too. In fact, it's very easy to set up once you've gone through it. Another "bad" point is that you have to do the setup every time the device turns off, which again isn't a bad thing if the phone/tablet you're working from has no trouble connecting to it associate. Pros: The email customer support (bindelo@idosde.com) was fantastic. Very accommodating! Without their help with the connection and some other things ie setting up blocks for reports I would give up repackaging it for a refund. As the first reviewer said. Data charts or "reports" are very easy to customize to your needs and very useful. I should note that the app works fine on my Galaxy Note 4 once the device is set up. I am using this for a home project. I'm adding a recirculation line/pump to my hot water system, from the other end of my house back to the water heater. Currently it takes a lot of time and a lot of water to generate hot water at the other end of my house. I don't want to run the circulation pump all the time which wastes a lot of energy due to heat loss in the plumbing, so I place this thermocouple on the other end to monitor the temperature and schedule the circulation pump. This device will get the job done if there are no problems connecting to the network once it is in its final position. I will update this review when the project is complete. Update: Okay, now I've had some time to play around with it. Thing. My project is complete and I am using it as intended. I'm changing 4 stars to 3 because it's good enough for a home project like mine, but if you really need continuous data, this probably won't work. I had an inexplicable data loss. At least two significant disappearances per day. "Substantial" is about an hour at a time, and the only way to confirm this is to turn the device off and on again. I should point out that I do NOT need to reconfigure the device every time it shuts down as the original review (for) stated. I must have accidentally broken the power cycle on the first try, which is what the original rating was based on. Still, I had to turn the device off and on again at least once a day to keep the data flowing. Still a useful device with amazing analysis tools, just not as robust as I would like. Update 2: I don't usually get these anals from reviews though. I can't say enough "good" things about the customer service I've received from Bindelo since starting this project! Since my last update, I've installed a WiFi booster (separate review) that brought the signal into the decibel operating range of the device. This helped a lot in reducing the duration of the dropouts, but now I'm seeing short and frequent dropouts. Approximately 4-5 performances every 2 hours. Bindelo offered to replace the device with updated firmware and I accepted their offer. I am returning 4 stars based on customer service. If the replacement device shows an improvement in dropout, I'll change it to 5 stars. Thank you Jorge for the great customer care!
