I have quite a number of face and eye brushes from MAC and The Body Shop. As for the bristle, it's somewhere in the middle in terms of quality - it's soft for something synthetic, but doesn't last for years (my MAC and TBS brushes are 5 years old and still going strong). I have given it the benefit of the doubt as it has received many good reviews. It's not that good, especially when the biggest brush came to me broken. I would return it if I weren't in Australia (where a MAC kabuki brush costs AU$88 from MAC), but postage will probably cost me more. I'll try to fix it with super glue. I find the bristles too soft and therefore only suitable for everyday use. I bought this on purpose when I travel as I love the idea of it having its own case. It came with a very horrible plastic smell and needs airing. It would also be a good idea to wash them before first use. Any brush that's too soft is likely to pick up a lot of your product, but also hold it tight. more than on your face. If you're a professional makeup artist, this might be a backup set, but not your main brush set.
