OXO Good Grips are often well designed and pleasant to use. But not at this point. It rubs badly because the blades aren't sharp. However, the biggest design flaw comes when you try to clean it. If only one end of the cylinder is open and the plastic parts inside the cylinder trap food, you really can't clean it. Classic graters from other companies with open barrel ends for easy cleaning are much better. Others note their low durability (breaking off the handle). Ours was little used and is still in service. I can say that my grandmother's old Mouli grater worked much better and its metal construction lasted a lifetime with frequent use - not much hope for this OXO junk.
