Solved my need for analog wireless headphone support with Roku

After installing a new 40-inch Samsung 4k TV in my bedroom last year, I was a little disappointed to learn that it had no analogue (red and white). . RCA) for audio output, like all my previous TVs. It seems that some of the newer TVs these days only have an optical output, which would be fine if it weren't for the fact that the TV's speakers turn off when you turn it on. So instead of connecting the Sennheiser wireless headphone base unit to the TV with RCA jacks, I had to connect them directly to the cable box's audio outputs. Roku: After I decided to go completely wireless, meaning no more cable box, I needed a way to listen to my wireless headphones while also playing audio through my TV speakers. this device came into play. I simply plugged my Roku's HDMI output into the device's HDMI input, connected another HDMI cable from the device's HDMI output to the TV, and then a 3.5mm audio Y-splitter with pink and white ends used to connect the wireless headphone base unit to the audio from the device. Works perfectly! Now I can listen to the show through my headphones and still turn on the TV speakers if I want to. I might not have had to spend extra money to get a "4K" model, but I didn't want to risk the image of my 4K TV. In any case, I'm looking forward to it!
