Offers strong dual layer protection and good screen protection from flat drops by keeping your phone's bezel off the surface with the raised bezel. Nothing protects your screen from being dropped face down on a sharp rock from 20 feet, but this case tops the list for shock and impact protection from regular drops and drops from several feet from the hip. If it has a weak point, it's the holster, which looks like thinner plastic than previous versions, but that may be due to its larger size. The holster is actually part of a protection package as it adds a third layer of armor around the phone and protects the screen. And thank you Otterbox for providing this case without an integrated screen protector which prevents fingerprint recognition, collecting dust under the screen and creating a moiré pattern that I would have to remove after purchase as I have with every one I have purchased Defender case did . for earlier phones. For those who want a screen protector for their phone, buy one. You get the best screen protector and if it needs to be replaced after 6 months, simply install another one without having to replace the case. Highly recommended.
