Here's the thing: My standard halogen bulbs are rated at 38.5 watts each. However, with a 14V car operating voltage, they actually use 42 watts each and are really bright. I thought about letting them either get more light or at least the same amount of light but with less power consumption. In the product description they write that this is 8.5 watts, not the regular 55 watts. Based on my experience, based on 8.5W, I was expecting about the same brightness as my 40W halogen. Well, I'm ready to be disappointed because these bulbs are actually 4.2 watts each, so 8.5 watts for a pair. If they wrote: 8.5 watts vs. 110 watts halogen, that would be a fair warning and I'd pass. So yes, they don't fit me and I'm sending them back.
