After a 4 day power outage last summer, I realized that my survival response was insufficient in relation to the light, among other things. Every time the power goes out, there's something you'd like. I had a small central rechargeable light; what i wanted was simple in everything. I was immediately drawn to the look and design of this product but was hesitant as almost half of the reviews were 3 stars and below. But I bought it anyway because it looked so cool - and not upset! I've been wearing these "candles" for about 3 weeks and wear them almost every night. Reloading is easy, variable "flickering flame" is realistic, "feel" relaxed. My 4,500 square foot living room and kitchen are open plan and 3 candles give just enough light so you don't bump into the furniture. Consider more of these for the lower hall, as well as a rechargeable lantern/lamp for other uses. Consequences? Sunjack solar charging battery to keep phones, flashlights etc working when you need them most, in or out of the sun.
