I really hoped this bed would be perfect for my little cat who weighs about 6 pounds. She is rather shy and loves to have her bed covered. Although the material of the bed is good, it's just not very well constructed. Packed as it is delivered, the back and bottom are sewn to be foldable, and even after folding and unfolding, it does not retain the shape specified in the product description. As a result, the hood becomes higher and higher. difficult. My cat fit in easily, she had room to roll over and get comfortable, but if she moved too much the bed would abruptly turn on her side while she was still inside, scaring her half to death. After this happened twice, she categorically refused to approach him. I think it's just not heavy enough at the base and too prone to folding itself, defeating the purpose of small animals that don't weigh enough to properly deploy and keep it upright. I am about to return it for a refund.
