I love using this crazy big grill shovel. Pork jerky, 14lb brisket, whole chicken were all well processed making it an easy and quick packing station for butcher paper/aluminum (or whatever). For larger or heavier cuts, I've only had to brace the end opposite the handle since there's 14 pounds of flesh left at the end of the shoulder blade. didn't want to risk an accident. But it works especially well with large cuts of meat that are starting to break down. It holds everything together better than holding meat in your hands. There were a pair of large spatulas here on the Revain and I was looking at another Traeger one, but this one has some nice grooves on the front that match my Traeger cooking grate, which helps get under the meat a bit. Plus, your wife will look at you like you're crazy, which is a bonus.
