People who have complained about this lock mostly complain that it was accidentally "reprogrammed". This is how I managed to use this lock. Follow the instructions carefully. There's even a video. The KEY here is to understand that there is time to push the post in during the rotation. This is where (I think) people go wrong. After you press the bracket to set the combination, DO NOT do it again. Be careful when opening the lock. Just twist the shackle and turn them in the same direction in turn. If you follow these basic steps, the lock will install once and work like a charm.
