I ordered this particular foot spa massager thinking that if I removed the rollers in the base of the unit the underside would be smooth but there are still a few "thousands" left Things on the bottom that cause me pain. Feet soaking. Otherwise I would have given a higher rating. The heating block keeps the water warm, even hot, and the separate salt slot is very handy. I'm trying to find a way to smooth out the inside of the bottom of the unit so I can use it more often when I come home from work with tired legs!
