Yes it leaks but it can be fixed. But you don't have to fix it!

First of all, as others have reported, my pistol didn't have the CARBYNE logo on it so who knows what I got. Also, like others, I had a terrible spill of lube - it was useless. I wasted two barrels of grease trying to get it to work and was about to toss it in the trash when I noticed that the orientation of the rubber seal designed to push the grease out of the cylinder is BACK! I really needed a grease gun, so I removed the gasket, reversed its orientation, and then drilled a cotter pin hole in the end of the shaft. I put a washer on the shaft, put the cotter pin, now it works fine. The attached photos show the compaction as I reconfigured it. Look at that and think about how printing should work and it's pretty obvious that this is the correct orientation. And it works (in this orientation). If grease is leaking, check the seal orientation and I'm sure you'll find it's the other way around. You could fix it like I did. But you don't have to! IMO: if you receive one without a logo, I will send it back immediately. And if you go shopping - I really do not recommend this weapon, since there is an obvious chance of getting a non-proprietary fake, and even with a fatal design / manufacturing defect; one that is fixable, but why would you pay to have it fixed? Look elsewhere, IMHO.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
