Review on Hoover Windtunnel Upright Stretch 43434031 by Janet Hernandez

I love my Hoover wind tunnel upright and was disappointed when the original hose suffered repeated damage from being accidentally crushed by a cabinet door. The original hose had a few kinks and ripples at the end that caused it to clog regularly. Eventually I got so frustrated that I had to stop regularly to unclog the hose. New vacuums are expensive so I figured it might be worth replacing the hose. I am happy about this decision. This replacement hose is MUCH better quality than the original. It is both stronger and more flexible. I know this seems contradictory, but the original hose was lightweight plastic with accordion pleats. The pages break easily and don't get back into shape. This new replacement hose is made from a heavier plastic and has a metal coil/spring instead of pleats to help it hold its shape after being stretched. It stretches easily and quickly returns to its original shape. It doesn't appear to be crushed. Edit: Two years later the hose is still like new. Replacing the hose was definitely the right choice. It was a much cheaper solution than buying a new vacuum cleaner PLUS a much better quality hose than the original hose. Bravo! Excellent purchase.
