I had just bought my 7 year old fancy designer shoes for school and the laces ripped the holes out, rendering the shoes useless within a few weeks. These were a fraction of what I paid and my sons loves them. They're lightweight, easy for him to get on and off, have good grip on the bottom, and he loves the bright color. Probably will get another pair in a month as a back up since these have worked out so well.
