Review on 🧺 Camco 20600 - 20.5"x24" Dishwasher Drain Pan | Leak Detection & Flooring Protection | Rust-Free & Crack-Resistant, White by Dave Phobia

We use the dishwasher every other day and every three weeks we come across a small mysterious leak, maybe a glass of water on the tiled floor. The GE repairman installed a new water inlet valve but the problem persists. I've pulled the D-Washer out of closets and watched it work many times. They even put some paper towels in suspicious spots to try to trace the water. The source of the leak has not yet been found. My floor appears to be level (and does this tray appear to be too?). So I wrapped this tray in layers of tape that's thicker at the back and completely disappears at the front to make sure it's secure. The test setup showed that the pallet pressed against the wall when the D-Washer entered. In my case, the front legs of the D disk landed on the front edge of this pan. So I put a loose piece of PVC pipe (7/8 "OD X 23") along the back wall as a spacer. This pushes the tray forward and the legs are completely on the tray. I also lined the cabinet walls with a plastic wrap (garbage bag) and draped it in a tray. So if some water splashes, the cabinets should be safe. I sealed the front edge of this tray with silicone to the bottom and corners of the cabinet to keep the leak from getting under the tray. It would have been better with clear or dark sealant, but that was there. I left a small gap between the black D-Washer toe cap and this pan to allow water to easily escape from the front. The tray is somewhat flexible and of good thickness. Not ribbed or brittle. A depth of 3/4" would have been ideal for my application, but it was easy enough to attach with PVC. I recommend this tray to all D-Washer owners as cheap insurance against costly kitchen cabinet repairs. Why nobody has a five-sided plastic bucket around messing around with his dishwasher is, once again, a disgrace to Captain Overkill.
