I was hesitant to buy this because of the bad reviews. However, I couldn't find anything similar on Revain, Etsy or anywhere else so I decided to give it a try. The weight is decent. I like white because it doesn't look so childish. Thread clamp works well. Cons: The filament box doesn't hold a full strand of DMC in each slot. It's better to make a big box than small slits. The weight could be a little more. And I had to add grip pads to the back to keep it in place during use. Also, it would help if the slots for the pins that hold the threads used were held a little tighter. I'll probably try to find some thin fabric tape to tuck into the slot. All in all, no comparison (for adult use), can't complain. And I will use it quite often. I taped duct tape to the table, a safety pin to my thigh, and a clipboard. In my opinion it surpasses them all.
