The duvet is really soft like silk and especially the very cool duvet. In terms of temperature, it helps with sweating in hot summers. I can say with confidence that this is a breathable blanket. You just have to be careful when washing it, it's a little bulky because you have to be careful not to expose it to high temperatures. Have to be careful not to put it in the dryer - I just hung mine to really protect the fabric. Not sure about the winter months, it's very cold so I feel like it doesn't retain body heat. Another thing is that this is a bit expensive blanket. That's $46 for a baby blanket and not even a full size one. It says it is suitable for children up to 6 but my son is 5 and he is very average height with his feet reaching all the way to the bottom. I can almost see his legs.
