I bought this brand because another brand I use around the house was sold out here at Revain. I hooked it up with the supplied transformer and driver and dimmed it down to 25%. I just noticed that it looks very bright at 25% but I proceeded with the install as it looked good and the color temperature matched my other warm white stripes. They were installed in a small Dato cutout with wood paneling and a 1/4" thick acrylic strip to diffuse the light. I installed two strips on each side of the wall, one hardwired to my large transformer, the other with pigtails in Switching the attic in case of a run out Building a single lane since it was installed in an irreplaceable place I hooked everything up to the same transformer/switch that my "other brands" strips are plugged into (HitLight's 300W transformer and Caseta ELV dimmer switch)..) To my disbelief, my other LED strips can dim down to about 8% before I notice their slight flickering.These LEDs don't even turn on until the dimmer hits 12% and they flicker like they will They mimic the flickering of a candle flame until it's about 30-35%. Some LEDs have an annoying flickering that you can't see directly, but you can see it by eye en angle you can see the photocell and get a headache - not this one, they literally flicker, like a candle imitating an LED. So the '25%' setting on the remote isn't actually 25%, it's a lot brighter, which only makes up for the fact that the dimmer chips soldered to these LEDs are poor quality and can't handle a decent dimming range. without testing them with a real quality dimmer. I am so incredibly disappointed that they are being marketed as "dimmable" when they actually have a usable dimming range of 50-100%.
