Review on Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro by Jenny Sellington

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Model - is not bad

After I broke my smartphone three times in a year, and each time my husband meticulously reanimated it (the costs of the profession), once again it was decided to finally purchase a new one, but, for obvious reasons, always a budget one. Of course, in spite of everything, I wanted a smartphone with good characteristics, and always a good camera. After reading reviews for a long time and carefully studying all the characteristics, the choice fell on a smartphone that offers maximum performance at a reasonable price.

Place of purchase - Aliexpress. This is not the first time I order equipment from Aliexpress, I have never had any problems, but the price difference is significant. Only the process of opening the package is necessarily filmed in order to provide evidence to the seller if something happens.

The cost is 14,000 rubles. In ordinary stores - about 18,000 rubles.

Package

The parcel came quickly, in 1.5 weeks. Got it from the post office. It was lined with a dense air cushion, so there was not a single chance for the phone to break during transportation.

Inside is a standard box made of thick cardboard, on the front side of which a phone is drawn and its model is written. The lid of the package is deep, tightly closes the box, the phone is closed securely inside, it does not hang out.

Equipment

The kit included: a smartphone, a charger, a silicone protective case, a key-clip to remove the slot for a SIM card and a memory card, instructions.

Instruction

A small book that I did not even open, there were no difficulties in the operation of the smartphone, and if it did, I would most likely turn to the Internet for help.

Charger

White. Cord length is standard. The difference is the presence of USB Type-C, which is one of the most modern options. It is bilateral, i.e. you can connect the cable in any position, this prevents the connector from breaking.

Silicone protective case

A pleasant moment was the presence of a protective silicone case in the kit. It is completely transparent, which allows you to enjoy the iridescent back of the smartphone to the fullest. But after 3 months of use, it turned yellow, as is usually the case with such covers.

The cover liked the plug for the connector. It closes the hole quite tightly, and when you need to charge your smartphone, it can be easily opened. Also, the case is ideally suited in all respects, buttons and connectors to the smartphone.

And now I’ll tell you directly about the smartphone itself, its appearance, and share my experience of three months of use.

First, the specifications:

Device type - smartphone

Model - Redmi Note 11 Pro

Operating system - Android; Support for 2 SIM cards

Processor: Number of cores - 8; Frequency - 2 GHz

Memory: RAM - 6 GB; Built-in memory - 64 GB

Screen: Screen diagonal - 6.53"; Screen resolution - 2340x1080 Pixels

Cellular standards: Work in 4G (LTE) networks

MicroSD support - Yes (instead of a second SIM)

Camera: Camera resolution - 64+8+2+2 Mpix

Power: Battery capacity - 4500 mAh

According to the characteristics - this is the flagship in its price category. This is the best, at the moment, that is currently available on the market in terms of price and quality.

The processor is modern, with high performance, great even for games, and the cooling system provides high-quality cooling without overheating, including during long continuous operation of the smartphone.

RAM - 6 GB, enough to forget about slowdowns even with the maximum number of open background applications. Works quickly, without delay.

But in terms of design, I can’t say that the smartphone stands out among other smartphones, but in general, I’m satisfied with its appearance.

Flat, slightly elongated, with rounded streamlined corners and a beautiful shade of the back panel, with narrow bezels on the screen - the smartphone looks modern and stylish.

The quality of the case is good, made of glass. Like the screen, the body has an oleophobic coating. Also pleased with the presence of protection against dust and moisture inside the case.

The dimensions of the gadget are 16.1x7.6x0.9 cm. Weight 200g.

On the top of the display there is a drop-shaped protrusion in which the front camera is located. There is also a notification light flashing blue. There is a small minus in the indicator for me, I would like it to be brighter in order to see a missed call or a notification from afar.

The screen is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Knowing my habit of breaking phones, I immediately pasted a pre-purchased protective glass on the screen, which, oddly enough, is still alive. Of course, the screen quality becomes completely different from the original, but it's safer for me. In sunny weather, the image is also clear, readability remains at a fairly high level.

The control buttons are located on the side face on the right. I have no complaints about their work. They are pressed clearly, without much effort, even in the case.

On the side face on the left is a slot for SIM-cards and memory cards, which is opened with a paperclip key. You can insert either two SIM cards into the slot, or one SIM card and one memory card, I chose the second option.

Photo

On the back of the smartphone are the camera lenses and a fingerprint scanner. Nearby there is an LED flash and another auxiliary camera module. The maximum resolution of the camera - 64 megapixels - is also marked next to it. The front module is made in front with a resolution of 20 megapixels.

All photos were taken after 3 months of using the smartphone, so you can see the accumulation of dust in the cracks. This does not affect the functionality of the camera in any way, since the lenses themselves are covered with glass and are easily wiped. There is a brand logo at the bottom of the panel.

Cameras delight with high-quality and clear pictures not only in good lighting, but also in the dark. The color rendition is good, the photos are bright, bright. The camcorder also pleased me, there is a function of fast and slow shooting. The camera is also equipped with various functions, which, however, I do not use. Here are some examples of photographs. Basically, I take pictures on a SLR, so the choice of normal photos in my archive is small, I will show that there is a decent one.

Good daylight:

Daytime bad lighting:

The following photo was taken up close, far from below, in low light conditions:

And the following photo was taken during a trip in transport, with very poor lighting (if anything, it's a dog):

In all my photographs, the angle is not quite suitable, and it is not visible, but the bokeh effect is a blur of the background, very good (noticeable except perhaps in the photo of flowers). In the dark (when shooting in night mode), the camera shoots normally, I can’t say that it’s excellent, but the object is seen well.

Note 8 Pro has a separate mode for shooting in full resolution of 64 megapixels. Photos taken in this mode have an impressive volume and corresponding quality. When the photo is enlarged, this is especially noticeable - the smallest details are visible, the photo is especially clear.

For its price range, the camera is very, very decent. For family photos or for writing reviews - quite a good option. Now I even sometimes use the smartphone camera in my reviews, as, for example, in this [link] review. In the review about Limonaria, the first 16 photos were also taken on a smartphone, then photos from a SLR camera are added. The difference with a DSLR is obvious there, the smartphone, of course, loses a lot, but if you don’t compare them, then the photos are fire

It is not in vain that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro camera is praised. If you want, you can take great photos with it!

Color

The model is presented in 4 shades - green, blue, white and gray.

The color of my smartphone is Forest Green.

All shades are beautiful in their own way, iridescent.

Of the features, I would also like to note the IR remote control, which I configured for the necessary equipment - a camera, a TV, a microsystem.

NFC - contactless payment, now instead of contactless payment with a card, in stores you can pay with a contactless phone. It is convenient that now you do not need to take bank cards with you.

Pleased and upset the fingerprint scanner. It is located on the back surface. Works fine with a fingertip, but it's not in a very good location, just where the hand is when talking, and I often accidentally press it during a call, thereby activating the screen and pressing it with my ear. The scanner can be turned off completely, then there will be no such problem, but I like it, let it be for now, I'm almost used to keeping my fingers a little lower.

Before buying, I was afraid that the size of the gadget would be too big, but from the very first day my fears were dispelled, although it is larger than my previous smartphone, but no less convenient. It sits comfortably in the hand, does not fall out of the pockets, does not interfere in the purse. Even with one hand I can handle it without problems

Another big plus is fast charging (about 1.5 hours), in conditions of almost continuous operation, the battery lasts about a day, which I consider an excellent result.

Summing up, I will try to briefly list the positive and negative sides of Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro.

Significant advantages:

+ powerful processor

+ large amount of RAM

+ quality camera

+ NFC chip

+ large display

+ oleophobic coating

+ fast charging

+ long autonomy

Weightless cons:

- inconvenient location of the fingerprint scanner

- dim notification indicator

Outcome

If in doubt to buy this smartphone or not - do not hesitate, buy it! Despite the minor disadvantages that I described above, Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro is a worthy gadget, it is one of the best for its price range!
