My partner and I enjoy Japanese culture. Warm sake is a good thing in the colder months. I didn't know when ordering that this sake warmer comes directly from Japan. Shipping took about 4 weeks but it was packaged very well and arrived fully intact (even the box) via USPS. The wait was absolutely worth it. This is a Japanese household product, so all instructions are in Japanese. no english at all. It doesn't matter as there are just a few things you need to know: 1) There is a simple on/off button 2) The slider gradually heats up the sake as you move it to the right (I'm boiling). a thermometer, which I used to roughly determine what temperature each of the marks would be. 3) Do not submerge the base in water 4) Fill the sake pot to the brim and not over it 5) It works in the US without any kind of power adapter as Japanese electrical standards are very similar to what we have here the USA. We experimented with different sake brands/types. Some taste better warm, some not so much. A favorite so far has been a black oval/ovoid bottle with a gold Japanese print. The back of the bottle even says serve warm.
