I use this to secure a bike rack that someone might need more than me. I have a 2" receiver on my Jeep and this lock is more than long enough for the job. The thread matches the post that fixes the problem so it doesn't wobble. I recommend lubricating the threads with grease to keep them from rusting. said I won't leave it in place for long as it's weatherproof and not weatherproof.
