Review on Gamepad Defender X7, black by Michal Cedronski ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not my best purchase, could have found something else.

The controller connects to the PC in dinput mode (in short, useless mode). To connect in xinput mode (compatible with modern games), you need to enable this mode on the gamepad itself. However, when this mode is enabled, the xinput gamepad does not appear in the system at all, instead of dinput, but a second one is added. Moreover, dinput receives serial number 0, and xinput serial number 1. All games perceive this as if two gamepads are connected to the computer at once and use a gamepad with serial number 0 - that is, dinput, which is incompatible with modern games. Been trying all day to fix this problem - in vain. In general, I bought this device for a computer, but in the end I had to leave it only for a smartphone. I do not recommend this model.

Pros
  • Connects to a smartphone via bluetooth without any problems
Cons
  • It is impossible to connect to a PC either by bluetooth or by wire (details in the comments). The holder for the smartphone is very flimsy, in the first minute it fell off and the smartphone costing 80k flew to the floor. Fortunately it was Samsung, so the phone was not damaged. The stick is too elastic in the center, it is difficult to perform smooth actions (compared with the native Xbox controller).
