As a beginner I wanted to get a wide range of colors without breaking. To be honest the quality of the floss is way better than I expected. I've spent twice as much on wrappers from my local craft store that had fewer strands that kept getting tangled, while I've only had it a handful of times before. Advantages: - many colors - the needle threader is very useful. For people like me who have shaky hands - the included spools make organizing easy. Cons: - so many greens and blues but only one red? use them, i can't imagine they work well. Overall good value for money, especially for a beginner who just wants a lot of colors to start with.
