Edit: After a bit of trial and error I have a clearer idea of what's going on. I increased the extruder temp to 260 because the hotter I made it the harder the pressure would be. Now not everyone does this because due to my direct drive setup I have to raise the hot end temp every time. But I just don't think this filament will be as strong as some PLA+ filaments (especially the Filacube material which is amazing). Maybe I was spoiled by their elasticity and resilience and wrongly viewed it critically. In any case, the prints are nice and easy to sand. Just no thin walls. Original: I am printing on a modified Ender 5 with body, full metal hot end and direct drive extruder. I'm typing 244 with the hotend and 95 with the bed. The inside of the case heats up to 45 (I don't want to use a heater), which I know isn't ideal, but helps. A big plus is that the prints are very easy to shape and flatten by sanding. The biggest issue I face is bed adhesion. But I'm lazy; I don't use glue or sprays. I've had the best results with the magnetic bed that came with the ender, SPECIALLY because it's all chewed up. The presence of scratches and ridges helps the plastic hold up while I use the rims. Another problem I have is that the prints are brittle. Anything less than 2mm thick may be at risk. I wasn't expecting this, knowing how legendary ABS strength must be. My printer may not be able to create ideal printing conditions.
