Review on JVC HAFX55ZP Headphones Discontinued Manufacturer by Youngone Sevenfourgd

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well if you're not worried

I bought these to use with my iPod Video at the gym. I'm not particularly picky about the sound quality, so I can't comment on that. If you're a casual user who doesn't care about the sound quality of $20 headphones, they will sound good to you. The cord is longer than most headphones I've used. It's almost too long to walk. I think wrapping it around my iPod on my arm solved the problem. The length is very convenient when you train on an elliptical trainer. I like to place my iPod on the elliptical's small shelf and watch TV while I work out. They come with 3 different connector sizes. I would say I have medium sized ears for a woman. The small ones are more comfortable, but I use the large ones for several reasons that I'll explain. They are not suitable for use in the gym. As soon as I start sweating, they slip out of my ear because they are made of smooth silicone. Increasing the size helps, but not completely. Works well on an elliptical but terrible when running. I don't care about the slippery feel of the headphones in my sweaty ears. I know you find that description sexy. lol! Even if you're not sitting still, these headphones make an awful sound. I liken it best to sticking a stethoscope in your ears and tapping on the part they use to test your heart. (High tech terms there. LOL) This is caused by the movement of the headphone in the ear. This improves with increasing size. Overall I would give them a 5 for everyday use and a 3 for "sweaty" use. :Above)
