I have a sewer smell in my boat's engine room. This device couldn't find the source even though I could smell it. Then I glued it directly over the storage tank vent, it still didn't work. I removed the vent cap and held it directly over the stock tank. Nothing yet. I put it in a storage tank and it exploded. We use odor control chemicals on the boat, but this thing was still useless for this job of detecting sewage odors on the boat. RV will be the same.
